Denis Ostrovskiy, M.D. F.A.A.N.

Dr. Denis Ostrovskiy practices general neurology, with a subspecialty in Neuromuscular Diseases and EMG. His particular focuses are Myasthenia Gravis, Demyelinating Neuropathies, and complex EMG studies.

He is certified by American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, and the American Board of Neuro-Muscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

In addition to his practice experience, Dr. Ostrovskiy is an Attending Physician at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, Long Island Jewish Hospital, New Hyde Park, NY and at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY. Dr Ostrovskiy holds and academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at Hofstra University, the North Shore- Long Island Jewish health system, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Dr. Denis Ostrovskiy received his medical training at the Saint Petersburg State Medical Academy, in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and completed residencies in infectious diseases and neurology. Moving to the University of Illinois, he spent several years in basic research before completing his residency in neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He held the position of Chief Resident during his last year of training, where he received The Excellence in Teaching Award. He then completed his fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio in Electromyography (EMG), Neuromuscular Diseases and Clinical Neurophysiology where he was elected to the pretigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He was awarded the David I.M. Fine Award for Excellence in Post-Graduate Training.

His work has been published in relevant medical journals, including: Neurology, Cerebrovascular Diseases, Epilepsia, American Journal of Physiology, Digestive Diseases, and Science and Molecular Pharmacology.
