Richard Blanck, M.D.

Dr. Richard Blanck practices general neurology, sub specializing in Multiple Sclerosis. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Currently, Dr. Blanck is an Attending physician at both North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, Long Island Jewish Hospital and at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY. He practices general neurology, sub specializing in Multiple Sclerosis. At New York University Medical College in New York he is Clinical Associate Professor.

Dedicated to the care of his patients, Dr. Blanck is the founder of the MS Club North Shore University Hospital (1979) and has lectured newly diagnosed and current MS patients for the past 30 years. He is also a member of more than a dozen professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology, American Medical Association, Nassau County Medical Society, Nassau County Chapter of National Multiple Sclerosis Society, among others.

Dr. Blanck trained at Cornell University Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, NY. He completed his Internship and Neurology Residency there, and held the position of Chief Resident. Prior, he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at Clarkson University, in Potsdam, NY; and received his medical training at New Jersey College of Medicine & Dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Blanck was an Instructor in Neurology and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Cornell University Medical College in New York.

Recognized throughout his career, Dr. Blanck has been featured in New York Magazine Best Doctors multiple times, selected as one of the in The Top Doctors in Long Island (2009), and as one of The Best Doctors in America (2009-2010). He has been published in numerous publications.
