Anthony Cohen, M.D.

Dr. Anthony Cohen currently serves as an attending physician at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY and North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. He practices general neurology, with a subspecialty in Neuromuscular Diseases. Dr. Cohen is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

In the past, Dr. Cohen has held the position of Assistant Professor at both Cornell University Medical School in Manhasset, NY, as well as Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. He was also the Director of the EMG Laboratory and Assistant Attending Physician at Montifiore Hospital and Medical Center, Bronx, New York.

Dr. Cohen received his medical training at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and completed his internship and residency also in South Africa. He fulfilled the American requirements for residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY, where he held the position of Chief Resident. He then completed his fellowship at New York University Medical Center in New York in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He was also a clinical instructor in neurology and a clinical fellow in neuromuscular diseases at NYU Medical Center. His postgraduate training culminated at Bellevue Hospital in New York City as an assistant attending in neurology.

He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including: American Academy of Neurology, Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom), Fellow of the College of Physicians of South Africa, Nassau County Medical Society, American Medical Association, among others.
